4th of July Weekend.

Our 4th of July weekend started on Thursday the 2nd. 4 day weekend for me!!! Love it!
Thursday morning we headed up to Flaming Gorge to camp for the night and boat for 2 days. The Schmitt family joined us. Once we had the camper set up..we headed for the water. While waiting for the Schmitt's, we cruised around a bit, and noticed that Arrow was thirsty. We have a talented dog. He can drink from a water bottle. lol

Once we were all loaded up, we headed out. We got rained on here and there, and it was a bit cool. But once you were in the water it wasn't too bad. You just had to get over the initial shock. Gracie was very brave and dove right in. TJ wasn't far behind. Little fishies, I tell you.

I make the weirdest faces while knee boarding and such. I am going to have to work on it. This one isn't so bad. The ones in the slide show at the bottom are not so flattering. lol

Tony was in the water as much as possible. I got him up on the wake board multiple times, thank you very much. He loves it. He even jumped the wake a bit from what I hear. Bad part about being the driver...you can see what the rider is doing. We need a rear view mirror. Tony also rode the tube with Tracer and TJ for a bit.

And then Keaton took a short...very short...like 1 minute or less...turn with Tony.

Then Tony went by himself. Mwahaha! Pay Back Baby!!!! I wasn't really hard on him, but he lost his position at one point and got tossed. Justin said he sailed across the water on his back for a bit. lol Ooops?

Water bugs...TJ, Tracer, Justin and Gracie...braving the cold water.

Justin also tried out the wake board. He did great. I am jealous of both guys. I can get up, but I can NOT stay up and I can NOT control the board. I'm goofy foot, for one thing, but come on!

Our illustrious captain!

Who is that you say? Well, that is my mom, Grandma Cordie. She was of course nervous about her hearing aids and cochlear device getting wet, so she had the hat on...and the wind kept it beat down on her face. But she smiled the whole time. Next time, I'm getting her in the water.

Who is this little grown up girl? That can't be my baby Gracie. Man where is the shrink button?

Saturday was spent relaxing and eating. What else? lol We had a great breakfast...thanks mom & dad. And then we had a BBQ with the everyone out here. It was YUMMY! When it got just dark enough, we started the fireworks. We had TONS of sparklers. lol. Now I know how they get so many "pieces" in those boxed fireworks. They count each sparkler. Here is Gracie. Pretty little girl.

We had a boat firework...kind of like the tanks, but more impressive. Well, boys will be boys, and they tried setting the boat on fire so it was totally destroyed. Must have been an enemy battleship. TJ and Tracer.

Prepared for a squealer! lol

The spectators....

We had a great 4th of July. Thanks to all who spent it with us. And thanks to all past, present and future military men and woman who make our freedom possible!
