Baseball

It's Baseball season! And TJ has started practices. He loves baseball and he couldn't wait for the season to start. I couldn't get my phone camera to take a picture when I wanted, so here he is swinging....he missed in this shot, but it's the clearest picture I got.

And hear is a picture of the weather while we have practice. WINDY!!! It was really windy yesterday, when I took this picture. Gracie and I finally went and sat in the truck while Tony watched the last bit of practice.

Games start Saturday and TJ is so excited. More pictures to come...you know me.

Kids, Kids, Kids

MOM!!!!! Come look!

So I quickly go to the bathtub. And here is what I find.....a bearded TJ. Gotta love bubble baths. One of these days, he is going to be all grown up....and he may just have a goatee...and I'll look back on this picture and think, wow I've seen this before.

Last week, I babysat Tony's cousin's boys. So are they 2nd cousins? I'm not sure. Anyway. They are cute little boys. They played with toys, and the Nintendo and whatever there was. Here is Tracer, playing the Wii. He is quite the big game hunter. He just didn't like the noise of the animals running by...cause it might be "that bear".

Here is Keaton. He thought it was pretty funny to have my clip in his hair. He tried it on his fingers and toes too. Mostly though, he missed "Dony". He was quite excited when Tony finally got home. lol

Goofy Gracie

Gracie had to come to work with me after she got done practicing for Musical Mustangs today. I left for a minute and came back to this....

The goofball got in some packing peanuts and created old man Gracie.

Gracie's Polynesian Program

On Friday, the 3rd grade had a Polynesian Program. Gracie has been practicing and been really excited about this. They had a lady come and teach them a bunch of dances and stories and I believe how to say hello a bunch of different ways. Anyway. She looked really cute and I was lucky I sat on the right side so I could see her really well. She is in the white shirt with the blue & white skirt and white flowers on her head.

This is the lady who taught them. She came 8 years ago and did this too. So Gracie was really lucky to be in it this time.

Here is the welcome song/hula they did.

And this is the sophisticated hula that all the girls did together. You'll notice a little woman standing off to the right. She has long grey hair. That is Gracie's teacher this year, Mrs. Purdy.

This one the entire 3rd grade did again, using sticks. I can't remember the name of the sticks or the song. Gracie probably remembers...sorry.

Okay, I wish I had the program because now I can't remember the names of these. But this one they use the yellow pom type things. This is just Gracie's class and 1 other class.

This last one is Go My Son. And it was the last one in the program. They all did really well, and seemed to really be enjoying it. I know Gracie did.

Spring has arrived

I don't care what the weather or anything else says at this point. When you see trees and bushes budding out and flowers popping up...SPRING IS HERE! Here is a little proof that it is finally here. We had a balmy 76 yesterday afternoon. And when I went home 5 it was 84! Can you believe that? Talk about extreme. Freezing cold only a few days ago and then 76 to 84 degrees. WOW!

Visiting Francine

This last weekend we got to spend some time with Francine, my best friend. I had my camera and meant to take pictures the whole time, but never remembered. I got these 2 shots of her kids while we were at breakfast Sunday morning. We had lots of fun hanging out with them. Emily just loved TJ. She even told him so apparently. lol Gracie was a little to old for any of them, but I still think she had some fun. Francine was nice enough to watch Scooby Doo with her. Here is Emily...

and Sam with Francine. Sam was double fisting it. lol He was HUNGRY!

It was fun to see you Francine. Thanks for hanging out with us!

Another Classic to Restore

A while ago, Tony bought a 1949 GMC to restore. Haven't gotten far on it yet...but Grandpa found a 1951 in better shape, so we bought it too. Not sure yet if he will restore both or just use one for parts. So, here is the prize....

And here is what they had to go through to get it. The ride to get it was uneventful, but the ride back was nasty! Sand storms...

Look at the sand blowing across the street...

You can't see the cars until they are there.

Finally letting up a bit.

And then they hit snow.

Eventful trip. I'm glad they made it home in one piece. If there's one thing we've learned in this family....it's not worth the risk to drive in bad weather. No matter what!!!

Easter

Easter has come and gone, and we have lots of cute pictures to show for it. The kids were so excited for Easter this year. They're getting old enough now that they want to wake up WAY to early. The night before, they were trying to sleep on the hide a bed with my mom. I told them they had to sleep in their own beds or the Easter Bunny wouldn't come, because he would be afraid they would see or hear him. So then they were all upset and nervous because grandma would see or hear him. I told them she couldn't hear or see at night because it's dark and her hearing aids wouldn't be in. Then of course later that night she tells them that sometimes she hears him thumping around. I told them she was kidding them...she can't hear anything when her hearing aids aren't in. They seemed to be satisfied and went to bed. Gracie woke at 4 am!!! No way!! I made her go back to sleep. She finally came in again at 5 and asked if it was time. I made her lay with me a little longer. TJ was asleep still. So, she finally fell asleep with me and woke back up at 6:30...we laid there until 7 and then I let her go wake up TJ. 39 eggs found in record time!!! The Easter Bunny hid them a little harder this year. Kids are getting better at hunting, so he had to compensate I guess. It still didn't take them long. Except 1 egg wasn't found until 2 days later, inside TJ's sock, under the coffee table. Silly Rabbit! At 11 we headed down for a family hunt. All of Tony's cousins and Aunts & Uncles came out. Kids had tons of fun!!! Here are some pictures from that.
TJ finds and egg!

He even got to climb trees to get to eggs. Some were so high I had to lift him up to almost stand on my shoulders. He loved it.

Gracie finds an egg!

She didn't have to climb trees. She is getting so tall!

Little Violet decided to be camera shy. Still cute tho.

Montana finds an egg!

Isn't she a pretty girl? She is growing up so fast. It amazes me.

Here are most of the kids. Montana is missing....we got a shot of her later with everyone, but I didn't have my camera with me then. I'm hoping someone will share pictures and I can get that one. (hint hint) :)

My little monkey TJ. He loves to climb things and have me take pictures. Silly boy!

Asher smiled and tried to get away when I tried to take a picture of him...

when I persisted, he let me know he wasn't to happy about it apparently. lol

All the kids love Grandpas tire swing. I love this shot of Gracie.

Tracer and TJ played catch for a little while.

Finally got a smile from Asher. Cute little guy.

Then it was off to the tree house for all the kids. Here is TJ climbing up.

TJ and Montana at the top.

Gracie and Uncle Bill. All the kids just love Uncle Bill...he is so fun to play with...and torture some times. ;)

Gracie looks scared doesn't she? lol

"I think I'm stuck!" we hear Bill say.

Nope...he made it!

Here is TJ on the tire swing.

I know that's a lot of pictures, and there are more. I hope you enjoy them. I know I do!

Misc.

We have fence!!! Well, some of it anyway. We have been slowly working on getting our yard going. It's quite a job! Especially with alfalfa trying to take over. Here are the posts we got up the other day. The scouts needed a service project and couldn't find one, so they asked if they could help with our fence. They got the rest of the holes dug, that we hadn't already dug. And we got one line of posts up. Tony and I set 4 more last night. So...we're getting there.

I'll post more pictures from Easter later. I had these 2 on my phone so I am posting them now. TJ road on a guys horse for a bit Sunday. He loves it. Pictures are a little dark because the sun was behind him. But you get the idea.

And one last pic I took with my phone. It's just so handy. Not the best pictures however. Anyway, Gracie and TJ came out and Gracie wanted to show me and Tony something. So we watched while she tried to get TJ to do a cheer. He even had pom poms. He dropped them by the time I got my phone out. He wasn't really excited or happy about Gracie trying to get him to do this...as you can tell by his face and stance. lol Notice Gracie's hands flying all over, trying to get him to follow along.

Reminiscing

I have tons of film that needs to be developed from years and years. I am great about taking the pictures..just not at getting them developed. So, today when we went to Walmart, I grabbed 6 rolls, and took them in. It's kind of fun, because it's "like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get". Well, what we got was a lot of reminiscing from 02-05. I can't believe how much the kids have grown up. They were so tiny!
So here are the kids in one of the many swimming pools we have owned. This was in 2004.

And this is my cute little boy in 2004.

And my cute little girl in 2004, ready for a dance performance.

This is TJ at Easter in 2004. He's doing one of his favorite things still to this day...squirting people with squirt guns.

And here is Gracie at Easter 2004. What a cutie!

Also at Easter 2004, Leah and a baby Montana.

And Jennifer trying to get a baby Summer to take a nap.

Now for 2002...my sweet little boy was born. Here is a little smile.

And a great big yawn.

Gracie was finger painting while her new little brother was making a bunch of different faces.

Here are the 2 most precious things in my life. So tiny! Makes my heart swell.

A new TJ with his proud Daddy...the other most important and precious thing in my life. I am very blessed.

Gracie loved her new baby. She had a hard time not treating him just like one of her dolls. But she could be soft with him and she is doing here, by giving him a big sister kiss.

During the winter of 2002, we could NOT get Gracie to keep her socks on. And she was so sick all the time, that it was a must. So...one day Daddy decided to tape them on, for a little funny. Gracie thought it was hilarious. It didn't last long, but it was fun.

Here is my pretty little princess with her hair all done up cute.

One day shortly after TJ was born, we decided to make cookies. A kids favorite part is licking the beater...and my kids are no exception. (neither am I)

Here is Grandpa Kim holding a brand new TJ.

My 3 favorite people in the world.

And that is it for this walk down memory lane. Can you believe how much they have changed?
