Gracie's New Look

It was time for an eye check up. Gracie's eyes have changed just a tiny bit, which is great. And TJ, well he has 20/15, lucky kid. Gracie was so excited to get new glasses. She wanted to get ones just like her Aunt Kasi. And so I let her. Imagine that! Isn't she cute with her chunky black frames? It took some getting used to. They are a lot larger than her wire frames. But they have grown on me.

Apparently that wasn't enough change for her though. A few days ago, as I am trying to do her hair, there is something missing. A tons of bangs are now 1 inch long! Hello! Gracie you are 10! You know better than to cut your own hair! Alas, they were in her eyes, and she took it upon herself to take care of the problem. It's great to be a problem solver, but not such a good idea to cut your own hair. Sadly, she has a hair appointment next Friday! If only she would have ASKED!!! lol I could have told her she wouldn't have to deal with it much longer, and styled her hair to keep them out of her eyes. Now, we just hope Maigen, her stylist, can work magic and make hair grow instantaneous, or she is really good at blending 1 inch bangs. Hopefully, a lesson was learned...again...for the 3rd time!

Pretty Girl

During Gracie and TJ's last hair appointment, Gracie and I ventured into the supplies area to look at the merchandise. They had a few wigs, so Gracie has some fun.
Strike a pose!

Marilyn Monroe?

A black wig that didn't really work.

Spunky little girl!

Deer Hunt 2010

This year, Tony and I had taken days off together so we could all go camping/hunting. Well, that didn't happen. I ended up getting Vertigo again, and fought the battle in May/June and again for the last 2 weeks. I've had every possible scenario with this. The specialists can't believe it. Leave it to me to be in the 2% of cases. So, I felt crappy and had missed many days of work already, and had another doctor appointment in the middle of our days. So......Tony and the kids went without me. I am still amazed that Tony took them, all by himself. He didn't even bat an eye. I don't think this has ever happened before. Tony and the kids leaving me home alone for days. lol Not like it was fun for me, however. I just sat on the couch and tried to keep my eyes in focus. Woo Hoo! Not! Anyway, they went up Dry Gulch Canyon. They rode the Rhino all over the place. Tony loved it. He says he likes it way better than the 4-wheelers. TJ apparently wouldn't let them sleep in at all. He wanted to get out early and hunt. TJ also didn't want to ride in the Rhino the whole time. He wanted to get out and walk in the trees. Which they did some of the time. They only saw 2 bucks. A spike and a two point. Nothing worth shooting really. TJ was disappointed, but hopefully the Elk Hunt will be different. One morning, they heard to bull Elk bugling back and forth. The trees were so thick, however, that they never got to actually see them. All in all, it sounded like they had a great time. Tony said the kids were really good. I'm glad they were able to go and enjoy themselves. Here are some pictures.
