Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the best dad ever....my great hubby....TONY! We had a picnic in the park with everyone....thanks to all! It was great. Then we came home and Tony opened his gifts. TJ just couldn't wait for him to open his...so he was first. A Siphon hose! Yeah, just what Tony needs to give TJ's motorcycle a little more gas when it runs out....lol

And Gracie was next up....you can never have enough...SWIMSUITS! Yeah. Gotta have a few when you go out on the boat as much as we do.

What a happy Dad. Cheesy too! LOL Love you Hon!

Slumber Party

I survived the slumber party....barely. I'm exhausted. They didn't go to sleep until around midnight and then they woke up at 6 am. What's up with that?!? I remember when I went to sleepovers we'd sleep in half the day if allowed. Not these girls.

We started the day off getting TJ out the door with his friend and his family. TJ was a lucky little man and got invited to go with his friend Jobe to Lagoon and the air show. He was excited to say the least. I snapped a picture of him before he left, while brushing his teeth, because I'm a paranoid mom and wanted a picture of him just in case. I haven't had a phone call yet, so I am thinking that is good news. I drilled in to him constantly that he needed to pay attention so he didn't walk away from his party without knowing it. I did that at Lagoon when I was little and it was SCARY!!! Anyway....here he is.

Gracie and I got the house cleaned and headed to the store to pick up her cake and some ice cream and other essential slumber party junk. After that was done, we waited. Gracie talked me into letting her read Twilight. So we read books and every 5 minutes, no exaggeration, she asked me what time it was. I decided to give her one of her Birthday presents early, so she could wear it for her party. Isn't she a cutie?

We had a Disney Fairies theme sort of. The cake was Disney Fairies and the cups and napkins and goodie bags were Tinker Bell. Here is the huge cake.

Smiley girl, while we sang happy birthday to her. We tried some new candles this year, that have colored flames. Yes, they were colored, but you couldn't hardly see the flame. She liked them...guess that's all that matters.

One activity was make-overs. These didn't turn out as traditional make-overs how ever. They went wild. I am now out of eye liner. lol Even I joined in, as you can see in the slide show. But here is a group shot of the girls and their finished product.

We played murder in the dark, and we did the game where you write a boy name and fold it over and pass it and write a girl name pass it, write a place they meet, what the boy said, what the girl said, and what happened. This got tons of giggles....and I learned that Gracie likes a boy. hmmmm. We played Twister and Doctor Doctor as well. Enjoy the slide show...I'm going to take a nap!

Boating 2009

Are you ready for a bunch of boating blogs again? I know, I know, I'll try not to do as many this year. lol This is our 3rd outing on the boat this year. Tony and I went out alone with some friends, and I actually remembered the camera. Glenn & Jennifer Wall went with us. Here is Glenn on the wakeboard.

Here's Tony almost up on the wakeboard. I have to relearn how to do it. I totally forgot. Poor Tony doesn't get to do much back there, because I am just not very good at driving the boat. I will get it again tho. I need to get over the fear of hurting him, or ruining the boat I guess...that would probably help.

Yeah...I pulled the rope right out of hands. Is that bad? Oh...ok.

Here are Glenn & Jenny.

That is Glenn, in case you were wondering. Jenny wanted to make sure you knew I guess. I actually took this picture first. Maybe she was going to poke him in the eye...not sure.

Look Ma...no hands. Tony kicking back cruising. Ahhh.....this is the life.

Yeah, he likes the boat.

We are excited to be able to boat again. Hope some of you will join us.

New me...sort of

I'm famous...okay not really, but I had to be in a commercial type shoot the other day for work. Immediately after I headed to the stores and on a whim decided to cut my hair. I cut about 5 inches off. :O I know. I'm still getting used to it. I now have some bangs and tons of layers. But it can be styled many ways. More pics to follow, of my hair adventures. For now, I have gone straight...

flipped....

And the ever popular pony tale...that I don't have a picture of. Tomorrow, we may curl it under. hmmmmm

Through my eyes

Yes, these are my eyes.

Don't ask....anyway.....we were driving down the road, to the lake, the other night when I happened to glance at my little boy in the mirror. We had the windows down and the wind was blowing through his hair and he was making faces, totally oblivious that I was watching him. I got a good laugh out of it. This is the face I caught. It's little silly moments like these that fill the heart with even more love. Am I strange? Maybe. I just love my kids and husband like nothing else.

Gracie wanted to be in on the picture taking action, so she pulled a face for me as well. Wow, I didn't realize how red her face was. It was HOT!

Not many of you know, but my mom is staying with us for the Summer, to help with "watching" our kids. I "" watch because, if you don't already know, my mom is deaf and blind. So watch is a loose term. Anyway...so far it is working out okay. She had to be in on the silly pictures as well and let the hair over take her. It's mini cousin it!

Earlier in the day, TJ was showing his dad the new Rocket Shot Fishing Reel that he REALLY wants. I thought it was hilarious to watch how enthralled they both were with the video. lol..Boys!

Yay me! My blogging is caught up. Enjoy!

TJ Rides

'Tis the season for outdoor fun. TJ has been riding his bike up and down our road, but he wanted some hills. So one afternoon we obliged him and took him to the local biking hill. He road all over and tipped over only twice. He is so quick he got out of the way, and we just had to pick up the bike. Not the best photos, but there they are. Go TJ!

Olsen Family Nights

It's Summer! Yipee! It's also Baseball Season. So 2 nights a week we are at TJ's baseball games. And when we aren't, we are working on our fence. We almost have the north side finished. Here is a little glimpse.

TJ really enjoys playing baseball. He has his own mitt, bat, gloves, ball, Tee, Return thrower net, cleats...uniform....what am I missing? lol Here he is play short stop or something close. He's ready to catch a grounder.

Isn't he a handsome little ball player. I could just kiss him, but he starting to get to old for that apparently. No one can see him give me a kiss anymore...*sigh*

Here he is smacking the ball. This one went out to the grass even!!! Way to go TJ!

Made it to first base! He got batted home before 3 outs even. Sweet!

At this particular game, he decided he wanted to try playing catcher. He has asked to do it again, so apparently he liked it. Here he is getting suited up.

And here he is with his coach teaching him how to squat the correct way.

Some action catcher shots....

One catching action video.

And you gotta love this one. The video doesn't capture it really well, but he had a hard time walking with that catchers gear on. Notice the grin on his face! Love it!!!

There you have it. Fences and Baseballs! The games are exciting...and sad to say but the fence is exciting too. I must be getting old.
