Ford's Visit for the weekend

The weekend after Mother's Day, the Ford Family (Tony's sister and family) came to visit. They have 2 little girls, Summer and Violet. We had a great time with all of them. I took the 3 older kids to the park and library for a few hours, so Violet could take a nap. I hear she didn't sleep very long however. I read a book while the kids played....which is great with me. I love to read...as many of you know. Anywho...I don't have a lot of pictures of the older kids, because they are constantly running, but I have many of the ever entertaining Violet. Here is her "O" face...and her mother's! Classic!

Gracie and Violet played Elefun, or however it is spelled. Violet picked butterflies off the floor and put them in her net, while Gracie tried to catch them as they flew out. She tried to get Vi to try to catch them, but she wasn't crazy...they're 10 times easier to pick up off the floor, Hello!

Violet gave me a lesson on some body parts. These are her teeth...

This is her eye....

And this is her nose.... I was given a test afterward. lol

TJ was bored for a moment so I got out some blocks and played with him. We built towers and soon Gracie & Summer joined in. Here are the 3 little stinkers building corrals for horses and cows.

Gracie and her tower.

TJ and his tower.

Where's Violet?

Peek-a-boo!

Violet impersonating a prisoner...LET ME OUT!

It was a great weekend full of laughs. Jennifer fell asleep on the trampoline (duh!) and got turned into a lobster. I got the enviable task of rubbing aloe on her. She was very appreciative. lol!

It was great seeing you guys!

Dino Stars

Gracie's singing group at school, the Musical Mustangs, did a program called the Dino-Starts. They had groups of different dinosaurs and did a bunch of numbers. She was a.....really little dino that I can't remember the name of. I had never heard of it before. Crud...I'll have to ask her if she remembers. Anyway....she is in the back in this photo, in the center in the green hat, next to a person with a yellow hat.

Here is my cute little dinosaur. She doesn't look ferocious at all.

A couple days before the event, she got assigned her speaking part. She missed the day they originally handed them out, and thus didn't get it until much later then everyone else. She did well.

This little video is right after they performed a song about their dinosaur...I didn't film it because you couldn't see her at all. But here are the Dino-Idol judges giving their scores, and the excited dinos.

And this last little video is the Dinosaur Rock. Filled with drama even. The kid next to Gracie kept pushing her over. She was getting pretty ticked, as you will see....lol. I finally quit filming and tried to stare the kid down myself! Grrrrr

Happy Birthday/Mother's Day to Me

Normally, I would NEVER put these kinds of pictures up here. But Justin and Sherie were nice enough to think of taking pictures of my birthday cake. Rare picture moments for moms! lol And I don't look tooooo bad..so here they are. I had a really nice Birthday/Mother's Day. Yes, it was on the same day this year. Thanks to everyone for making it great. Tony's mom made my favorite cake...German Chocolate....I think I just eat a pan of the icing! YUMMY! She makes it from scratch, none of that store stuff. It is sooooooo good. Oh, my mouth is watering!
Here we are lighting the candles.

Are there enough? Wow...I'm only 21...why so many? Seriously, I think they snuck in a few extra.

CHEESE! Wow that is not really flattering, but I'm happy.

I'm contemplating my wish...I think.

Those last 2 got me. Does that mean my wish won't come true? Nah!! Those were the extra candles, they don't count. :P

There! Yes, I'm laughing. Everyone was laughing cause of those last 2 darn candles.

Getting sung to on the phone. My hubby sittin' next to me, with Keaton on his lap. Keaton likes Dony...he always misses him. :)

Grandpa is contemplating his next birthday wish...

Everyone getting ready to serve cake. My adorable kids are on the right.

Great day! Great cake! Great people! Thank you!!!

1st Baseball Game...Super Saturday

Saturday was Super Saturday here, which means the start of baseball season. TJ has had practice the last 2 weeks. For Super Saturday they have a player's clinic and coaches clinic for an hour. This Saturday it rained the entire time. TJ's hair was just dripping wet. He loved it though. After the clinic, they had a drawing...sadly TJ didn't win anything, but he was okay with that. We then had an hour off for lunch. Gracie didn't want to go with us, so she was at Grandma's house and we headed over there for lunch. Grandma had bought some new puddy stuff. And the kids played with that while I made them some very nutritious Ramen Noodles. At one point Gracie told me to look at her...here is what I saw:

She's an elephant! Hilarious! She is such a hoot. Very creative.
Anyway...after lunch TJ and I headed back to the ball field. Everything was wet, but the rain had stopped at least. TJ's team in the Yankees. He got a new shirt & hat. #7. Lucky # 7 in fact. ;)
So here is the handsome little ball player ready to make a catch.

And here he is ready for a pitch.

Being #7, he was 7th to bat. I'm proud to say he was the first one on the team to hit a ball from the pitching machine rather than the T. He hit the second pitch and ran for first base! Way to go TJ!!!

Here he is rounding third, but he decided to go back and wait it out at third.

Waiting on 3rd with his coach near by.

Walking back to the dugout after successfully making it to home plate! WOO HOO!!!

Okay this is a little difficult. He is playing pitcher. They have 1 kid on each side of the pitching machine, playing pitcher. He is on your left side. The little guy in front of his coach with the white hoodie. He got a grounder and got it to first base, to get the runner out! He was on a roll!

Here they are after the game is over and they just said a cheer. Time to high five everyone....

Back to the dugout for treats!

TJ loves to "hang around" in the dug out.

Games will now be on Tuesday and Thursday. Right after Karate class....can you say busy?
