Muzzle loader Deer Season Take 2

This time we took the camper and 4 wheelers and stayed in a campground called the Duchesne Tunnel Campground. I can't tell you how beautiful it is up there. I just loved it. We stayed 2 nights. So the first day we got there in the dark and set up camp enough to go to sleep, but the next morning we were off. We got on the 4 wheelers, hooked the dog to the back and headed down the trail. Take a look at those leaves! Here is TJ, me and Gracie.
And here all 4 of us are. It was so fun cheering dad on as he ran back to get in the picture. The kids thought that was pretty fun.
We were searching for the "meadow". TJ climbed a little hill to see if there was a meadow on the other side. And Tony climbed one on his 4 wheeler. Here he is coming down. Isn't it a lovely backdrop?
Time to put Arrow back in his "seat", so we can head down the yellow tree road.
Nature has it's own way of decorating. We came across this huge Christmas tree already decorated with yellow decorations!
The kids thought they'd help add a few "decorations".

Doesn't Tony just look happy and content? Three of his favorite things:Family, Hunting, and Mountains!!!
We didn't see any deer until we got back to camp! Check out the antlers on those 2!!!

Alas, we just took these 2 beauties home with us to live as our children.
We finally found a meadow later that night. No deer, but an awesome sight none the less. Here are the kids and Arrow.
Yeah, well, Arrow doesn't sit for pictures very well....Here are the kids.
And here is my hubby! The happy hunter.
FIRE! He hath created a fire...
Here is Tony's fire starting "kit":
TJ can't wait to ride all by himself. Boy..boy...boy!!!
Time for the roast. TJ likes his on fire!
Gracie doesn't look really excited, but she was having fun blackening her marshmallow!
Then come the time for our hunt to end. We didn't get a deer, but we had a great time strolling through the forest and playing in the campground. Usually, Tony pulls the camper and I pull the 4 wheeler trailer, but Tony just loves me so much that he wanted me to be able to ride with him. (mushy I know...but I just had to through it in there) So he made it so he could pull the 4 wheeler trailer behind the camper. Normally this would make me extremely nervous, but Tony being a professional driver and all...it seems to work really well. We just took the back roads and avoided the highway. Here is our "train".

Okay, I have to share this. You may think it's gross, but it's also funny. So we were out riding in the truck at one point while hunting, and I had to pee....so Tony was driving trying to find me an out house. TJ asked me why I just didn't go by a tree. I told him that I wasn't a boy and I couldn't just pee on a tree like he could. So he says, "So just squat." LOL, Tony and I laughed so hard we cried. He couldn't figure out what was so funny. He says that's what girls have to do. Okay, yes we do, but I didn't realize my 6 year old boy knew such things!
